New Categories Announced for PropertyGuru Awards 2026

The PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore) is gearing up for its sixteenth edition, highlighting the enduring strength of the local real estate market. Set to take place on October 30, 2026, at The St. Regis Singapore, this year’s gala will honor exceptional achievements in property development amidst a climate of stability and growth.

As the real estate landscape adapts to current demands, this year’s awards program introduces several fresh categories aimed at recognizing innovation and excellence in various aspects of property development. New awards include Best Condo Developer, Best Housing Architectural Design, Best Sales Gallery Interior Design, and Best Flexible Work Space. These additions reflect ongoing trends in housing preferences and workplace designs as developers respond to changing buyer interests.

This year’s event arrives during a period characterized by a robust demand for residential units. For instance, around 4,575 private residential units are expected to be tendered under the Government Land Sales (GLS) program in the first half of 2026—this figure significantly exceeds the average seen over the past decade. Additionally, prices for landed properties have shown an upward trend, reflecting increased interest from buyers seeking long-term family homes in a competitive market.

Jules Kay, General Manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, emphasized that despite global economic challenges, Singapore’s property market has remained resilient with consistent price increases and strong confidence from developers. He remarked that participants this year should be proud to showcase their outstanding projects and initiatives that focus on environmental sustainability.

Roy Ling, chairperson of the judging panel and CEO at FollowTrade, echoed these sentiments by inviting developers to highlight their most innovative projects. As residential activity stabilizes alongside commercial sectors benefiting from steady demand in office spaces and logistics facilities, there is significant potential for creativity and quality within the industry.

The PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards are supported by key partners including Mitsubishi Electric Asia as gold sponsor and PropertyGuru.com.sg as official portal partner. Other media partners play crucial roles in promoting these prestigious awards across various platforms.

Entries for this year’s awards are now open; prospective candidates should mark important dates such as August 21 for entry closure and September 21-25 for site inspections on their calendars. Final judging will take place shortly thereafter on September 28.

The culmination of these efforts will see top winners not only recognized locally but also given a platform to compete at the regional level during the Grand Final Gala Dinner scheduled for December 11 in Bangkok. This international stage provides an opportunity for Singaporean developers to gain recognition beyond national borders.

As we look forward to celebrating excellence within Singapore’s evolving property sector at these upcoming awards, it becomes clear that adaptation remains essential in this dynamic market environment. Individuals aiming to participate can find further details by visiting Tanjong Rhu Residences.
